Alamak! Bfast coming 2moro. Burp he he
I received this SMS at 8.17 pm last night from Yan Lee announcing she has prepared breakfast for us. She is blessed with culinary skills. What she has cooked up this time was Hokkein Mee.
Early in the morning before the others arrived for work, Ivy has dutifully scissored chilli padi to go with the noodles. I squeezed out the belachan chilli from a plastic bag into a small chilli saucer. This will blend very well with the noodles too. The belachan chilli was a leftover from our visit to Sri Siam yesterday to celebrate Yan Lee’s birthday. Just imagine two small saucers of chillis cost RM2.00.
Yan Lee arrived at 8 am. Dona, Ivy and Elaine were in the kitchen microwaving up the noodles. The table were laid up with bowls and cutleries neatly arranged at their respective places. At Dona’s, at Ivy’s, at Suet Ben’s, at Yan Lee’s and Elaine always uses her own serving plate. Dona and Ivy were seated at their places waiting while Elaine was at the microwave oven waiting for the cling sound to announce the noodles are ready to be served.
And I had already toasted my chocolate/banana spread bread for breakfast and eaten them! Thank God, I received this message after I have prepared for my breakfast or would be gatecrashing today’s breakfast.
Anyway, I will always appreciate Yan Lee’s invitation for breakfast. But I am sure if I join them, their shares would be limited.
